Brackenfield Audio Trail
Come along with us on our 4-mile journey to observe the local wildlife, discover how life has changed here and learn how one hamlet took its name from a local man’s demise.
We'll start in Brackenfield, noted for possessing one of the largest village greens in England, and travel to Ogston - discovering the rich history of Ogston Hall and the reservoir where Dame Ellen MacArthur first took to water.
With the chance for a bit of bird spotting along the way, and a visit to Trinity Chapel - which dates from the 1500's - our circular route will bring us back once again to Brackenfield.
The audio trail can be quickly downloaded onto an MP3 player, iPod or mobile phone.
The map and directions are available below, along with a guide to downloading the audio trail.
You can download a zip folder containing all the tracks in one go, a complete podcast or download and listen to the individual tracks, you choose!
The trail has been produced by Higham-based company 'Audio Trails' with the help of local historian Gladwyn Tarbutt.
